We’re on a mission to remediate chronic malnutrition.

height measurement of preschooler older than 2 years-Village Chinchintor-Comapa-July 2013Nearly 2.2 million children under five years of age in Central America have been documented as chronically malnourished by the World Food Program. Moreover, there are 17 million children in the U.S. who are at risk of becoming chronically malnourished. The compounding effect of these levels of chronic malnutrition represents the precursor to huge economic and socioeconomic costs in lost productivity and increased government budgets for food security throughout the world.

The Sustainable Nutrition International mission is to bring sustainable nutrition to chronically malnourished populations. We’re starting our efforts in North America and Latin America, beginning in Central America, where the needs and opportunities are currently the greatest.

We’re focused on developing public-private sector shared value initiatives to achieve overall success in developing and delivering sustainable bioactive nutrition to nutritionally ‘at risk’ populations through early intervention programs. We believe we can remediate chronic malnutrition in infants 6-36 months old with Nutra-Iso™, our proprietary rice bran extract formulation. Our near-term goal is to prove this concept by providing 252 million servings of Nutra-Iso, to pregnant and lactating mothers and their infants annually over the next three years.
